Ruth Anne Munyan (nee Meister), age 92, formerly of Westville, NJ and more recently Gilbertsville, PA, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2022. Born in Philadelphia in 1929 to Harold and Naomi
Meister (nee Harney), Ruth spent nearly all her life in South Jersey, marrying the late Amos Munyan, Sr. in 1948. Between them, they raised seven children. Like many of her generation, Ruth left high school early to help support her family. Despite the lack of a formal education, she cherished knowledge and was a voracious reader - Ruth finally got her high school diploma in 1981. Much of her working career was with Bell Telephone as a directory assistance operator, retiring in 1991. She then went on to take art classes as a hobby and become an accomplished artist in her own right until Parkinson's robbed her of the ability to hold a brush. Ruth was a devout Christian and supported many churches in her lifetime.

She is survived by her sister Janet Bell of Hillsboro, Oregon; six children: Charles, Richard, Thomas, Joy, Amos, Jr., Judith (deceased), and Janet: ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was also loved by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Life Celebration 3:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Grace Bible Church, 887 Clements Bridge Road, Barrington, NJ 08007. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Habitat for Humanity, Gift from the Heart at https://www.habitat.org/donate/?link=628.
