CC Board of Commissioners to Honor Seven Veterans

OAKLYN, NJ (November 30, 2022)--Veterans and their families will join the Board of Commissioners and other local officials for a ceremony where seven veterans will be honored with the Camden County Military Services Medals.
Commissioner and Gold Star mother, Melinda Kane, liaison to the county’s Office of Veterans Affairs, talked about the importance of the ceremony for the municipality. “These men and women have displayed true bravery and patriotism; for that, they deserved to be honored,” Kane said. “We invite all residents of Camden County to join us in this celebrating these heroes and their service to our nation.”
The Camden County Military Service Medals were created by the Board of Commissioners to honor the veterans of Camden County who have served the United States with honor and courage. The medals include the Vietnam Service Medal, the War on Terror Service Medal, the Military Service Medal, and the Korean War Service Medal.

- William Deasy
- Steven W. Graham, Jr.
- Patrick J. Lavin
- Stephen J. Lina
- Howard L. Rosenberger
- Stephen G. Wechter
“This ceremony is just a small way we can show our appreciation to these veterans whose sacrifices and courage we value so much,” Kane said.
