DOGS-ONLY POOL PAWTY TO RAISE MONEY FOR ANIMAL OUTREACH OF CAPE MAY COUNTY

Cape May, NJ - Montreal Beach Resort (1025 Beach Avenue) is going to the dogs - literally. A beloved and cherished Cape May tradition is back after a pandemic break. Montreal Beach Resort's Doggie Day Pool Pawty returns on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 12:00pm Noon to 4:00pm. Years ago, after uneventfully closing their pool each season, the owners decided that it would be fun for one day a year to let the pups jump in for a dip. Over the years this fun way to close the season turned into a larger community tradition that now raises money for the Animal Outreach of Cape May. Madison Resorts and new owner Dan Alicea bring back the event and want to carry on the tradition after a two year break.

“As the new owners of the Montreal Beach Resort we feel like it's important to bring back certain events that are great for the community. I’ve always been a dog lover myself and I can’t imagine a better way to close our pool each year. This should be fun!” - Dan Alicea, Owner Madison Resorts

Doggie Day Pool Pawty will take over the entire pool area for this special one-day only event that is also the final day of Montreal Beach Resort's summer season. The event starts at Noon and runs through 4:00pm. Each participating pup not only will enjoy a final Halloween weekend dip on the pool but each will also be entered in a raffle for a basket valued over $100 donated by Hounds Town South Jersey.

Dogs can participate for $10 per pup. Humans are free! Guests can pay cash at the door, with all the money going towards Animal Outreach of Cape May County. A waiver is required upon arrival. All dogs must be well-behaved and friendly with other dogs. Guests are encouraged to bring their own towels, with some towels available by the pool.

Participating pawty vendors will include:

Salty Paws - The first doggie ice cream bar in NJ. Salty Paws offers lactose free, dog-friendly ice cream , cookies and treats. Pooch favorites are Maple Bacon, Vanilla, Pumpkin, Blueberry & Peanut Butter ice cream. They also have a large assortment of doggie doughnuts, cookies, cake mix and more. They additionally will host your doggie's birthday party, ice cream social, breed meet up or fundraising event. They will have a table setup with their ice cream and treats.
Black Sheep - Mobile dog “barkery”! With ingredients that are healthy and easy to pronounce, Black Sheep dog treats are grain-free and handmade with love in South Jersey. They only use fresh, all-natural ingredients to make small batches of treats that are delicious, nutritious, and pup-approved. Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille will have a special doggie menu for the day with ground beef bowls, chicken bowls and puppacinos as well as specialty doggie-themed cocktails for humans! Harry’s will be open for lunch and dinner until 9PM with all the football games. Plus, don't miss all-day happy hour on Sundays!  The rooftop and downstairs patio are dog friendly to accommodate all the humans and doggos.

All money raised from the event registration will go to Animal Outreach of Cape May County.
