Gov. Florio To Attend Brooklawn Post 72 Legion Banquet

The Honorable James J. Florio, (image) Governor of the State of New Jersey, will be present at the January 4 American Legion National Championship Banquet honoring the Brooklawn American Legion Baseball Team. Governor Florio will be one of the guest speakers and will also be making a presentation from the Governor’s Office.
Additional presentations will be made by Congressman Rob Andrews, Senator Walter Reed, Assembly Wayne Bryant. Guest speakers will also include Robert S. Turner, Past National Commander of the American Legion, E. Frank Cartier, State Commander, State Commander of the American Legion, Paul Owens, retired General Manager of the Philadelphia Phillies, Mayor Michael Mevoli of Brooklawn, Mike Lindner, Cable Sports Commentator and Commander Tom Quinn of Brooklawn Post 72.
Tickets for the banquet are sold but TKR Cable Co. is taping the evening and will televise it on local cable at a later date. Contributions are still being accepted for the team’s operating expenses and may be sent to Brooklawn American Legion Post 72, Railroad and Lake Drive, Brooklawn.
