Camden County, NJ—The Gloucester Township Historic and Scenic Preservation Committee invites the public to join us for the Tale of the Trails to the Creek on Sunday, October 9, 2022 and Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 1-4pm at the historic 1756 Gabreil Daveis Tavern Museum house and grounds located at 500 Third Ave. Glendora, NJ 08029. The event will feature tours of the historic tavern museum along with guided trail walks, including our recently opened elevated walkway.

Tale of the Trails to the Creek: Visitors will be invited to explore the newly installed elevated walkway on our trails to the North Branch of Timber Creek and Otter Branch. Funded through the Gloucester Township Rotary Club Foundation, the elevated walkway allows our guests to explore and follow in the footsteps of boat travelers of the 1700’s & 1800’s. Guided history talks and walks along the trail and grounds will be conducted by Historic Committee members. This is a free event.

This event is one of more than seventy activities taking place during Camden County History Month from October 1 to October 31, 2022, when thirty participating historic sites and history organizations throughout Camden County will be open with special exhibits, reenactments, and guided tours for adults and children. A full list of all the events during Camden County History Month, with hours and locations, is available in an event guide at www.camdencountyhistoryalliance.com, or pick up the event guide at any of the local historic sites. Camden County History Month is hosted by the Camden County History Alliance, an association of 50 Camden County history organizations, historic sites, and support agencies.
