Newtown Square, PA - Main Line Today hosts its annual Power Women Summit on Wednesday, Oct.19, 2022, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Drexelbrook Catering & Special Event Center. Tickets are on sale now! Presented by Recovery Centers of America, Devon, and Malvern, this year's Power Women Summit features a much-anticipated conversation between NBC10 news anchor Tracy Davidson and 2020 Main Line Today Power Woman Molly Arbogast, founder and CEO of POV Sports Marketing. Network, get inspired, and hear how two incredibly talented women have achieved milestones of their own and how they find time to inspire so many others. Guests will also enjoy lunch and networking opportunities and visit an expo featuring vital local businesses, with nearly 400 women making a difference in our region. For 30 days, Power Women nominations are compiled from various sources, including previous honorees, Today Media staff, and the community. Nominees are selected based on their position, line of work, and proven impact on the community.
2022 Power Women Honorees:
Marcie Bramucci, Executive Artistic Director, Hedgerow Theatre. Media's creative powerhouse leverages her knack for inclusive performances, which has been steeped over two decades of experience and education—with an eye on Gen-Z and communities who might normally be excluded from live theater.
Patti Brennan, CEO, Key Financial. The Newtown Square native's innovations in financial planning have raised the bar, benefitting the region, the industry and her family.
Alice Choi, Blogger, Hip Foodie Mom. This saucy chef was inspired to share her recipes online as a new mom and now has more than 250,000 followers on social media from her Malvern kitchen.
Dr. Janine Darby, Founder, Lifestyle Changes. This doctor left her comfortable health system position, got her sexy back as her own first patient in a wellness clinic and now impacts the way our region does weightloss.
Denise Dillon, Head Women's Basketball Coach, Villanova University. The Villanova alum earned all-Big East honors three times and scored more than 1,000 career points. As the winningest coach at Drexel, she's back on the Main Line impacting the Wildcats.
Dr. Imaani J. El-Burki, Assistant Dean and Director of the Intercultural Center, Swarthmore College. This communicator, educator and researcher is all-in when it comes to mentoring, family and mutual respect, impacting future leaders.
Katie Jacoby, Violinist. The good kid from Downingtown School of Rock currently electrifies audiences on tour with the Who (yes, a la Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend) and has a self-titled EP.
Dr. Beth Johnson, Head of School, Friends' Central School. This Wynnefield native graduated from Friends' Central and ascended to Head of School, as first female and first Black, creating the Office of Diversity, Equity and Justice as well as centers for Innovation and Design and Ecological Study.
Dr. Rina Kapoor, of Chadds Ford is Founder and CEO, ARA Integrative Medicine. When traditional healthcare systems didn't allow time to impact lives, this pioneering internist studied functional medicine and opened new doors to wellness for the region.
Michelle Leonard, Social Entrepreneur. The Bryn Mawr resident spearheads social networking to fundraise for the social good through intentional entertaining, eating and giving at Dine&Dish and Table Talks.
Jennifer Licate, of Paoli wrote the Navigating Friendships Series. As a 15-year school counselor, when Licate needed books to educate Chester County kids in emotional intelligence, she wrote them.
Trish McFarland, President, Delaware County Chamber of Commerce The first lady of DelCo's Chamber activates her influence during the pandemic for the edification and sustainment of area businesses—and it's now her business to offset a recession.
Diane McGraw, Executive Producer, McGraw Productions of West Chester leverages her extensive connections in sports, which carry beyond those of late husband Tug McGraw, on behalf of nonprofits and various causes, most recently Legends for Peace, the international soccer event to benefit the Ukrainian relief effort.
Diana Perez-Rodgers, Founder, Radnor RISE On the heels of tough questions from her two sons about the death of George Floyd, Perez-Rodgers founded Radnor RISE (Respect, Inclusion, Solidarity, Equity) and works to place DEI committees in Radnor schools.
Matti Perilstein, Co-Founder, Eternally. When the healthcare management consultant noticed a disheartening gap in end-of-life resources, she co-founded the Narberth-based Eternally to facilitate advanced-care planning conversations before they're needed.
Cathleen Rebar, Managing Partner, Rebar Kelly. A first-generation college graduate is now a magisterial district justice, Rebar runs a large law firm in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Connecticut.
Dr. Marianne Ritche, Host, Your Radio Doctor airs in 37 states. An gastroenterologist and associate professor at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Ritchie founded the PINK Plus program, which bundles screenings for breast and colon cancer into one visit and raises awareness for colon cancer screening.
Krista Ross, of Berwyn is Executive Director, Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation. This past spring, Get in the Game added 171 schools and 40,000 donors to the Be the Match registry and works to turn sports into a platform for saving lives.
Dr. Tara Sexton, of Villanova is Celebrity Dentist, Main Line Smiles was the first woman to work for the prestigious Amsterdam Group, joining them on the lecture circuit at Penn Dental and then opening her own practice to create room for family as a single mom. A dental expert on ABC, NBC, FOX, and KYW Newsradio.
Natanya Sortland, Advocate for Those with Vision Loss Since losing her sight in a life-threatening subarachnoid hemorrhage Natanya's blind ambition has become raising awareness by rappelling buildings.
