Camden County Prosecutors Office Honors K-9 Teams

Camden City, N.J.- As NATIONAL FORENSIC SCIENCE WEEK continues, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office would like to acknowledge our K9 team, canines ACE and Rookie, and their partners, Sergeant Michael DeGregorio and Detective William Heron.
K9 Ace is a male black Labrador Retriever. K9 Ace joined the CCPO team in May 2019 when he was 3 years old. K9 Ace completed the New Jersey State Police K9 Association Narcotics Scent Detection Academy 10-week course in August 2019. K9 Ace serves in the CCPO Narcotics Unit, and he is a single-purpose police K9 who is trained in narcotics detection. K9 Ace is partnered with Sergeant Michael DeGregorio of the CCPO.
K9 Rookie is a male black Labrador Retriever. K9 Rookie joined the CCPO team in March 2022 when he was nine months old. K9 Rookie completed the New Jersey State Police K9 Academy 14-week course in June 2022. K9 Rookie serves in the CCPO Narcotics Unit and assists the CCPO High Tech Crimes Unit. K9 Rookie is a single-purpose police K9 who is trained in electronic storage detection (ESD). K9 Rookie is one of only three ESD K9s serving in New Jersey. K9 Rookie is partnered with Detective William Heron of the CCPO.
