Lower Township Police Arrest Suspect for Nursing Home Check Frauds

Lower Township, NJ (June– During the month of June 2022 the Lower Township Police Department received multiple complaints from residents of the Victoria Commons Nursing Home in North Cape May, reporting check fraud. 

The Lower Township Police Patrol and Detective Divisions conducted a thorough investigation, which led to the identity of a suspect, David C. Beck, Jr., a 26-year-old male, from North Cape May, NJ.   It was also revealed he was an employee of the nursing home. 

A search warrant was ultimately executed on Mr. Beck’s residence, during which time evidence of numerous check frauds was obtained.  Mr. Beck was later charged with multiple counts of theft by deception, forgery, and credit card theft.  Mr. Beck is currently awaiting further adjudication in court.

*Any charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless he is proven guilty.
