PHILADELPHIA – Rowan’s Eric DiDomenico has been named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Baseball Team, which is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

DiDomenico (Blackwood, NJ/Paul VI) was the starting first baseman for 10th-ranked Rowan, which reached the NCAA Super Regionals and finished the year with a 33-10 record.

The team co-captain set new career-highs in every offensive category, including batting average (.323), runs (42), hits (42), RBI (35), doubles (11) and home runs (9), while posting a fielding percentage of .988 with only four errors.

DiDomenico tied for the team lead in home runs and hit a two-run shot in the Profs’ win over Washington & Jefferson that gave Rowan the title at the NCAA Annville Regional.

He graduated with his degree in biology and was named to the 2022 NJAC Academic All-Conference Second Team, while also being named a Rowan Scholar-Athlete of Distinction for three consecutive years.

DiDomenico received Rowan’s Dr. Michael Briglia Award, which is given to the student-athlete who possesses excellence in athletic ability, attitude and dedication to his sport, while also demonstrating high moral and ethical standards.
