Rose Havens, of Collingswood and Gloucester City, age 90; GCHS Alumnus

On May 29, 2022. Age 90. (nee Bernard) Of Collingswood. Formerly of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 32 years to the late Donald J. Havens. Cherished mother of Anne (Joseph) Croasdale, Stephen (Janet) Havens, Virginia Havens, Jacqueline Havens, and the late Michael J. Havens. Dear Sister of Theresa McCarthy, Virginia M. King, Rev. Father Jack Bernard,  Patricia Ludwig and Joan Nishina. Predeceased by her siblings: Margaret Krusic, Mary Gorman and William Bernard. Beloved grandmother of Natalie (Matthew), Michael, David, Stephen, Victoria, Lauren and Lindsey (Hooper). Devoted great-grandmother of Jessamine. Survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Rose was born and raised in Gloucester City. She graduated from St. Mary’s Grammar School in Gloucester City and Gloucester Catholic High School. Rose has been a resident of Collingswood since 1963. She was a devoted parishioner of Transfiguration R.C. Church (now Most Precious Blood Parish) in West Collingswood. Rose loved her Catholic faith and volunteering at church. She loved to travel, gardening, bowling, reading and loved to dance and be with her family.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Rose’s viewing on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at Most Precious Blood Parish: 445 White Horse Pike, West Collingswood. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:45 in the church. Interment with her late husband, Donald and son, Michael in New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. There will be no evening viewing and no viewing at the funeral home.
