Born in Plymouth Township, Pa., he studied at Blessed John XXIII in Weston, Mass., before being ordained a priest of the Diocese of Camden by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio on June 2, 2001, in Blackwood. His first assignment was as parochial vicar of Saint Thomas More Parish, Cherry Hill, where he served for a year before being assigned the same role in Saint Vincent Pallotti, Haddon Township (2002-2005). Father Capperella went on to serve as parochial vicar in Saint Patrick, Woodbury (2005-2010), and Holy Angels, Woodbury, from 2010 until his retirement in 2014. ATLANTIC CITY- An investigation into the fatal stabbing of a 65-year-old man on June 5, 2022, a Sunday afternoon in Atlantic City is continuing by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds announced. CNBNews graphic files At approximately 2:20 pm, Atlantic City Police received an emergency call for a male down at Unit North block of Kentucky Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ. The male victim, identified as Dwight Hutchinson, 65, of Atlantic City, was located unresponsive. Medical personnel arrived but were unable to revive Hutchinson. Albert C. Fisk Jr., of Gloucester City, NJ., affectionately known as Buddy. Peacefully passed away on June 27,2022 at the Cooper Hospital with his loving family by his side. Al was born on November 27,1942 in Camden, New Jersey to the late Albert C. Fisk, Sr and Laura M. Robertshaw and has been a resident of Gloucester City for many years. RICHARD LOPEZ YAVAPAI COUNTY ARIZONA(JUNE 28, 2022)----Sergeant Richard Lopez was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a suspect near Stagecoach Trail and Red Rock Lane in Cordes Lake at about 12:45 pm. He had responded to the area to investigate a theft and located the suspect nearby. The man shot him before fleeing into a nearby residence and barricading himself inside. Sergeant Lopez was transported to HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center where succumbed to his wounds. The subject was taken into custody after remaining barricaded in the home for several hours. Fletcher announced that a 22-year-old Clementon man has been charged with fatally shooting a resident of the Fox Meadow apartments earlier this year in the parking lot of the complex. On Monday, the House unanimously passed a bill, HB1393, that would legalize fentanyl test strips for personal use so drug users could know the purity of their substances. The strips are currently classified as drug paraphernalia and illegal. That’s why money transfer businesses like Walmart need to warn people about fraud risks and train employees to spot scams. And that’s why the FTC is suing Walmart in federal court. The FTC says Walmart has known for many years that scammers use its locations to get money for grandparent, romance, and other scams, but it didn’t properly warn people or train its employees to prevent fraud. The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Carson v. Makin. The dispute began when the state of Maine created a tuition assistance program for rural areas without public schools. The program, though, explicitly said that state funds could not be used at religious private schools, only secular schools. A family sued the state of Maine saying they should be able to use the state funding at a religious school if they desired. They argued the program discriminates against religious schools and violates the Free Exercise Clause of the Constitution. PHILADELPHIA (June 23, 2022) – SEPTA’s Board today approved Operating and Capital Budget proposals for Fiscal Year 2023, advancing plans to fund everyday operations and major improvement projects. SEPTA’s fiscal year covers the 12-month period from July 1 through June 30. The $1.61 billion Operating Budget includes fare enhancements designed to boost ridership post-COVID and allows for the expansion of SEPTA Key Advantage, the Authority’s new institutional pass program.
