McKenzie Melvin was named the NJAC Player of the Week with teammate Emily August selected as the NJAC Pitcher of the Week.

The duo were named to the NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team as the Profs advanced to the championship series over the weekend but fell in a tough 3-2 defeat to the host Tufts to end the postseason ride.

Melvin batted .357 (5-for-14) with four runs, two stolen bases, a triple and an RBI in four games. She also had an outfield assist, throwing out a runner at the plate in Sunday's game vs. Tufts.

August made three starts with a 2.62 ERA in 18.2 innings of work, striking out 16 batters while yielding seven earned runs on 21 hits. She fanned six and allowed just one run on six hits in the Profs postseason opener in an 8-1 win over Cabrini on Friday.

The Profs finish the season with a 35-10 record, with win #35 on Saturday evening marking head coach Kim Wilson's 900th career coaching victory in the process.
