School Bus and Vehicle Collide in Gloucester Township; Both Drivers Injured

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (CNBNewsnet)--Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at approximately 8:00 am, Gloucester Township Police responded to the 1400 block of Jarvis Road for a reported motor vehicle crash involving a school bus. Upon arrival, officers located a school bus and Toyota Camry disabled in the westbound lane as a result of a head-on collision. Lambs Terrace Fire Department and Inspira BLS/ALS responded to stabilize and treat both drivers and the single passenger of the bus.

Initial investigation determined that the driver of the Camry suffered a medical emergency and crossed over the double yellow line and struck the school bus. The school bus was owned and operated by the West Berlin Bus Service and had one pre-teen child on board. The child was uninjured but their mother transported them to a local hospital for evaluation as a precaution. The driver of the school bus suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Camry was extracted from the vehicle by fire department personnel and was also transported to a local hospital for treatment. Jarvis Road was closed for approximately two hours.
