GCity Police Arrest Lindenwold Man for Firing Gun

 

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (April 26, 2022)(CNBNewsnet)--Gloucester City Police have arrested a suspect who was allegedly involved in firing a gun near Gloucester City Middle School on Sunday, April 24, 2022, around 8 PM. No one was struck by the gunfire.

DEVELOPING STORY

The suspect, Taijun Blount, 18, of Lindenwold, NJ was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Handgun, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Blount was processed on the above-listed charges and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing before the Court. This investigation is ongoing, and detectives are actively seeking a second suspect.

The police are asking residents of the 600, 700, and 800 blocks of Hunter Street, as well as South Broadway, to check their cameras for video of the possible suspects). The timeframe is April 24. 2022
between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm. If anyone has any information on the incident, they are to

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
