Pushing Will Zalatoris off the top spot is this year’s Masters winner, Scottie Scheffler ($3,567 per shot). Taking home the Green Jacket and a healthy $2.7 million in prize money, Scheffler moves up 84 places into ranking number one. Fortunately, Zalatoris (2nd) didn’t fall too far down the ranking thanks to his impressive T6 finish ($3,204 per shot).

Making up the top five is Len Mattiace ($2,900 per shot) Jordan Spieth ($2,669 per shot) and Tiger Woods ($2,435 per shot).

2022’s Biggest Movers

Whilst Scottie Scheffler made moves up the ranking, other golfers also shared the success. Despite the wobble in his final round, Cameron Smith had a fantastic tournament and moved up nine places from 19th to 10th ($1,616 per shot). Second place, Rory McIlroy was also a big mover, flying up 15 places from 35th to 20th. Thoroughly deserved after a record-breaking final round and incredible bunker shot on the 18th

Further big movers outside the top 20 were:

  • Matt Fitzpatrick: 395th to 96th
  • Shane Lowry: 221st to 53rd
  • Collin Morikawa: 155th to 35th
  • Cameron Champ: 124th to 56th
  • Corey Conners: 54th to 31st:

Scottie Scheffler tops another ranking!

Thanks to shooting a total of 278 and claiming $2.7 million in prize money, Scottie Scheffler’s 2022 Masters tournament becomes the most lucrative per-stroke victory of all time. Pulling in over $9,700 a shot, Scheffler’s 2022 triumph beats all other Green Jacket wins by over $1,200 a shot!
