Lower Township will officially reopen Clem Mulligan Sports Complex during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday, April 9, 2022.

Members of the Lower Township Council and local dignitaries will speak at 9 a.m. and the red ribbon will officially be cut to open the park at 9:30 a.m.

The Clem Mulligan Sports Complex is located on Mowery Avenue between Caroline and Bates Avenues in Villas. The park has been a popular place for the community and was the site of much-needed upgrades and more recreational amenities to continue to provide a safe space for the township’s residents and visitors to enjoy more outdoor sports opportunities, and playgrounds, and engage in physical fitness. The park’s facelift also came with a new name to reflect the updated amenities, the Clem Mulligan Sports Complex.

The Clem Mulligan Sports Complex includes a regulation Little League baseball field, a soccer/all-purpose field, resurfaced basketball courts, age-specific playgrounds for younger and older children, a lit walking path, and a new multi-purpose building with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant bathrooms.

The complex also includes a hockey rink, a community gathering space, shade structures, landscaping, benches, bike racks, a security camera system, irrigation, and lighting.
