Coast Guard searching for person in the water in Delaware River PHILADELPHIA — The Coast Guard is currently searching for a 30-year-old man in the Delaware River in the vicinity of Central Waterfront, Saturday. A 29-foot Response Boat-Small II boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Philadelphia is currently searching. Watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay received a report from the master of the 590-foot Singapore-flagged bulk carrier Weco Josefine at approximately 7 a.m. that a crew member was no longer on the vessel. It was stated that the man was last accounted for on the cargo ship between 5:12 a.m and 6:30 a.m., after the vessel had already left the port. The individual is described as Asian nationality, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 130 pounds. Hammonton, NJ - For the last 22 years Domenick DiGiovannangelo has been serving the community as a volunteer firefighter with the Hammonton Fire Department and the Independent Vol. Fire Co. 2. In addition to his time served with Hammonton, Domenick previously served 15 years with the Winslow Township Fire Department’s Elm Fire Company. Besides serving as a senior firefighter and mentor to many of the younger members, Domenick is currently serving as Assistant Chief of the Hammonton Fire Department. Earlier this year Domenick was diagnosed with end-stage heart failure and a cancerous tumor for which he is currently undergoing aggressive treatment. Identity Released of Man Slain in Yesterday’s Edgewater Park Shooting Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Edgewater Park Township Police Department Chief Brett Evans announced that the man who was killed in last night’s shooting in the 200 block of Ivy Road in Edgewater Park Township has been identified as a 23-year-old Willingboro resident. Sameil M. Barrett was fatally shot yesterday while sitting inside a parked car at approximately 6:30 p.m. A 21-year-old woman who was in the car with Barrett was also struck by gunfire. She remains hospitalized, but is expected to survive. The preliminary investigation revealed that two gunmen wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks approached the vehicle and fired several shots before fleeing on foot in opposite directions.
