On February 9, 2022, at approximately 3:30 AM, Gloucester Township Police patrols attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver/ suspect fled, eluding police, and operated the vehicle in a reckless manner creating a risk of injury to the public. GTPD patrols did not pursue the vehicle, and through investigation identified John D. Herbert as the driver/ suspect. Herbert was charged on a warrant with 2nd Degree Eluding, is currently wanted, and his current whereabouts are unknown.
