Gloucester City Travel Basketball - Gloucester B Division Champs
Sunday, February 27, 2022
Gloucester City Travel Basketball made up of girls and boys in grades 5 thru 8 competing in the Gloucester County Basketball League.
This year due to Covid Restrictions, GCBL did not have any travel teams at grade 3/4 as in the past, this season both boys and girls participated in the Junior (grade 5 & 6) and Senior Divisions (grade 7 & 8). This season saw an influx of 7 & 8 grade boys forcing a split at grade 7 & 8 level.
Gloucester "A" is all 8th graders and as of 2/27/2022 have a 12 - 1 record and will play Friday at Delsea High School for the Division Title against unbeaten Franklin Twp who gave the locals their lone blemish.
Gloucester "B" 7th graders with 2 eighth graders, defeated Clearview 2/27 54 - 39 to finish the 2022 season unbeaten at 14 - 0 and won the Division Title.
Gloucester "B" was a success because of the play of fellow teammates, Dennis Havers did a great job as the floor general and Leland Kidd was a deadly outside shooter opening things up for both Barcklow and Danby. Couple this with the defense provide by Jackson Walsh and Jayden Smith who controlled the other teams best player. Dom Kuczak provided consistent overall performances
