False Fire Alarm at Winslow Township High School

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, NJ (February 9, 2022)(CNBNews)--Today, Tuesday, February 9, at 7:41 AM, the Winslow Township Police Department school resource officer reported a fire alarm activation and an odor of smoke in the Winslow Township High School, 10 Cooper Road, Atco.
Police Captain C. Dubler said all students and staff were immediately evacuated as Fire Department personnel and other emergency personnel responded. Investigation revealed that the odor of smoke had traveled over from a local business, which was conducting a controlled burn.
There was no fire at the High School, and all staff and students were returned to the school without incident.
