Tara B. Powell, 47, Resident of Woodlynne, Former Waitress at Brooklawn Metro Diner

Tara B. Powell, 47, of Woodlynne, NJ passed away suddenly on the morning of January 21, 2022.  Born in Stratford, she is the daughter of Frank Vitkow (Denise) and Susan Walker. Tara also is survived by her husband of 23 years, William “Billy” Powell; loving children, Samantha Powell, Alyssa Powell, Deanna Powell; sisters; Jennyfer Revelli, Nichelle Porto, Nichole Hayes and her sister-in-law, Anna Wherrity. 4C398EDB-C550-44A6-BBED-2853AF5BA4AF

Tara worked for many years as a waitress at the Metro Diner in Brooklawn. She loved doing crossword puzzles, making waffles and spending time with her family and her dog Layla.             

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Tara’s visitation on Thursday, February 3, 2022, from 1 pm to 3 pm at the McCann-Healey Funeral Home, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Services will begin at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. She will be cremated as per her wishes.

The family is going to honor Tara by doing a private gathering after the services but wishes to get together with friends at a later date.
