Avalon's Newest Patrolman, Quar'tus Byrd

AVALON, NJ--Avalon Mayor Martin Pagliughi provided the oath of office to Avalon’s newest patrolman, Quar’tus Byrd, at the January 26, 2022 Council meeting.  Patrolman Byrd will serve Avalon as our newest patrolman. 

The officer was born in Orange, New Jersey and is a 2015 graduate of Cedar Creek High School in Egg Harbor City.  He previously served as a Class II police officer for the Ocean City Police Department.  Patrolman Byrd graduated the 51st Basic Course for police officers at the Cape May County Police Academy on January 14th, 2022.
