Director Frank J. DiMarco, Deputy Director Heather Simmons and Commissioner Jim Jefferson joined new homeowners Ana Toro and Kennetha Dixon for the 51st & 52nd Groundbreaking Ceremony for Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity on Tuesday, January 18. The Gloucester County Board of Commissioners were joined by Anthony Isabella, Executive Director of Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity, Mayor Peg Sickel of Woodbury, Ernie Huggard of First Harvest Credit Union and Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity Board President Ronda Abbruzzese.
As part of Habitat for Humanity’s programs, homeowners become vested in their property by completing 350 hours of sweat equity in place of a down payment. The new homeowners are also required to demonstrate a housing need and that they have the financial wellbeing to repay an affordable mortgage. The two new 1,250 sq. ft. houses will feature 3 bedrooms and 1 bath.
The Gloucester County Board of Commissioners welcomes you to Woodbury and Gloucester County!
