So, if you’re thinking about placing a few wagers on a mobile casino and taking advantage of those New Jersey casino bonuses, be sure to follow these online casino tips. Set a Budget Setting a gambling budget, also known as a bankroll, is important for several reasons. In a letter to New Jersey motor vehicle dealers, the Division is putting merchants on notice that state law requires all markings on a license plate to be legible or identifiable. According to a recent New Jersey Supreme Court decision, a driver is in violation of the law if their license plate frame or holder conceals or obscures a marking on the plate – like the words “Garden State” or “New Jersey” – so that the marking cannot be reasonably identified. The letter notes that merchants may be held accountable if they sell or advertise unlawful license plate frames or holders (or vehicles with such frames or holders)... Read more →

How Does Homelessness in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Compare to the Rest of the USA

unsplash.com image Homelessness is on the rise in the United States. According to a study published by the National Alliance to End Homelessness, the number of Americans experiencing homlessness has grown each year since 2015. As of January 2020, there were an estimated 580,466 Americans experiencing homelessness. Though the exact effects the COVID-19 pandemic had on America's homelessness problem have yet to be determined, some early indications suggest little reason for optimism. For reasons at least partly related to the pandemic, a portion of Americans - as high as 35% in some states - say they have missed their rent or mortgage payments or have low confidence that they can pay next month's, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's Household Pulse Survey. Additionally, in some parts of the country, the pandemic interrupted access to temporary housing locations, and social distancing rules meant fewer beds in shelter facilities. Nationwide, men are... By Mathew Sanders | The Pew Charitable Trusts/The Center Square GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (December 21, 2018)(CNBNewsnet)—A pedestrian (above, left) was trying to make her way from Brooklawn into Gloucester City via Broadway today around 11 AM. The tide was receding but even so water was up to her knees. Each time a car sped by the wave from the vehicle would stop her from walking any further. The second arrow in the background points to the Little Timber Creek Bridge that cost $4 million to repair. +++++ A failure to plan, the saying goes, is planning to fail. And over the past 30 years, this maxim has played out in the nation’s approach to climate-related disasters, particularly flooding. In 2021 alone, flooding has taken lives and destroyed homes and businesses from Tennessee and New Jersey to Washington state and Arkansas. The year was not an outlier: In each of the... Read more →

Catholics Church Being Attack

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on recent pro-abortion attacks on the Catholic Church: On the rare occasion when a pro-life advocate acts irresponsibly, the media are all over it. By contrast, just recently there were two examples of pro-abortion advocates acting irresponsibly, and the media responded with a big yawn. As we reported last week, on January 20, the anti-Catholic outfit, Catholics for Choice, used a light projection to beam pro-abortion messages on the facade of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.; the event was a prayer vigil before the annual March for Life that was held the next day. We have now learned that on January 22, the anti-Catholic outfit, New York City for Abortion Rights, projected "God Loves Abortion" and other vile slogans on the exterior of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Supporters of the group shouted obscenities... Read more →

CHALKBEAT: Common school ratings biased, often inaccurate

Study: Matt Barnum, Chalkbeat Jan 24, 2:57pm EST There is a powerful, intuitive idea that has long shaped perceptions of American education: the schools with the highest test scores are the best schools. It seeps into everything from conversations among parents to real estate websites. But this thinking is profoundly misleading, according to new research. Schools with the top scores aren’t necessarily the ones that actually help students learn more. On top of that, rating schools based on overall scores unfairly penalizes those serving more students of color, potentially exacerbating racial segregation. “If you just go by published accountability ratings, you will be guided to the schools that have the most white and Asian students,” said Josh Angrist, a professor at MIT who recently won the Nobel Prize in economics. “You’re not actually being guided to the best schools.” This conclusion isn’t new in education research, but the paper, by... Conversely, while voters clearly sympathize with Ukraine and support assisting them through diplomacy and other means, there is no support for U.S. military intervention should a conflict arise with Russia. DHS Sends Warning Ahead of Potential Russia Cyber Threats

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security warns that the U.S. could witness a retaliatory cyberattack at the hands of Russia if Russia decides to respond to the potential invasion of Ukraine, where 100,000 or more troops have been assembled for weeks. On the bulletin that was dated Jan. 23, 2022, officials believe that if the U.S. responds to rising tensions at Ukraine's eastern border, the Russian government or its state-sponsored actors could initiate a cyberattack. The bulletin, obtained by ABC News reads: "We assess that Russia would consider initiating a cyberattack against the Homeland if it perceived the U.S. or NATO response to a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine threatened its long-term national security." Russia, DHS warns, can employ a "range of offensive cyber tools" against U.S. networks, ranging from a low-level ''denial of service attack" to a "destructive" attack on critical infrastructure. BIDEN'S SECRET FLIGHTS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

image courtesy of New York Post (January 25, 2022)--While most Americans were either sleeping or celebrating Christmas and the new year, the Biden administration was busy facilitating the transport of thousands of non-citizens to cities and states across the U.S. The flights are still landing in states such as Pennsylvania and have been taking place under the Biden administration for nearly a year now, with the first reported flights occurring in April of 2021. Federal authorities utilize the flights to bring migrant children from areas near America’s southern border to either a sponsor, a family member, or a shelter in an array of different cities across the country. The states that have been... Read more →
