Northeast Philly Tax Preparer Pleads Guilty to 29 Counts of Filing False Tax Returns

PHILADELPHIA PA (January 20, 2022)--– United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams announced that Eric Amaefuna, 65, of King of Prussia, PA, pleaded guilty to engaging in a multi-year scheme to assist clients with filing false income tax returns in order to fraudulently increase the amount of the refund they received. In April 2021, the defendant was charged with Indictment with 29 counts of aiding and assisting in the preparation of false income tax returns.
