What Apps do You Need On Your Phone?

Theoretically, you don’t need any apps on your phone except the phone app. But, in today’s world it is hard to imagine communicating and functioning without access to at least email on your phone. But, to know which apps you need, you will need to figure out also what type of user you are.

We can divide all smartphone users into three distinct categories:

  1. Casual users
  2. Business users
  3. Media consumers

And, none of these are less legitimate than the other. While usually young people fall into the third category, there are a lot of adult folk who use smartphones for things like online casino USA games, or other casual media and entertainment.

And, to be fair, there are some social media platforms that are used for both business and media consumption. Apps like Facebook have both the commercial and the user side and the experience of these two types of users can be very different.

Communication Apps

Generally, there are three levels of apps you need to have here.

Primarily, there are email and phone apps. Installing apps like Gmail and Skype are very helpful for virtually any user simply because so many people have apps that connect to these. Additionally, iPhone users will have the option to use Facetime and similar communication apps, as well as SMS.

Further, there are instant communication apps such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Viber, and Telegram. All of these have specific benefits and drawbacks but the ultimate reason to install them on your phone will be what people you wish to connect with are using.

Finally, there are social media platforms. While we wouldn’t count things like Instagram or TikTok as places we communicate, those who want people to reach out to them will be smart to have these two, as well as Twitter. Here, your audience, clients, or friends you have lost touch with can reach you without needing to know any of your personal information.

Productivity Apps

Productivity apps are usually misunderstood as there are companies and entrepreneurs that praise them to high heavens and those who see them as useless. The truth is, as always happens, somewhere in the middle.

Productivity apps work the best if they fit into your working routine. And, they are an easy way to keep track of your dates and times, as well as tasks you have set up for that day in the past.

You shouldn’t see productivity apps as something that will work instead of you, but rather a way for your past self to remind your current self about what you need to do.

The number of these apps is truly immense, but even something basic like Google Calendar will work wonders if you tend to forget the obligations you have set up for yourself.

The biggest advantage of smartphones, in general, is the fact that they can be used for entertainment. For some, this will be using Netflix or YouTube to watch videos, but there are also games, music, podcasts, and audiobooks that would make your life better if you have them installed.

Also, there is an online casino USA sites list that keeps track of safe online gambling operators for those who prefer that type of entertainment, as well as a long list of games available in both the iOS App Store and the Android Google Marketplace.

Apart from these, there are free apps like YouTube and iTunes for videos and podcasts respectively, as well as paid apps. From these, apps like Audible that have professional audiobooks for sale are probably the most interesting for those who wish to be entertained while they do other things like driving or household chores.
