Letters to the Editor: Hopefully the Newly Elected City Mayor and Councilman Can Stop Taxes from Rising...Again!
Hopefully the Newly Elected City Mayor and Councilman Can Stop Taxes from Rising...Again!

I had the good fortune to take in the wonderful Ventnor Christmas parade this evening with my son, followed by pizza for dinner at one of the MANY pizza shops to choose from.
We are now winding down by the tree with Christmas music in our condo in Margate, and I was saddened by how much we have moved our festivities away from Gloucester City, our primary residence, and directed them in this direction.
I’m aware there are demographical differences between the two, but the fact remains that Gloucester City has increased its budget in 9 years from $18m to a ridiculous $25.5 million per year and we still can’t wrangle in the simplest quality of life issues nor present a respectable Christmas Parade.
I’m hopeful that the incoming elected officials can turn this around. The housing shift created by Covid has seen decent improvements in our housing situation, but that will be short-lived once these new residents begin to realize what many of us have had to live with for years.
We Thank You For The Valued Relationship
