Isn’t it time to wake up, Gloucester City? The 20 year Democrat experiment has failed you, just like it has failed everywhere else it has been tried. The only glue holding this City together is the spirit of the people living here, and with what has escalated to a 25.5 MILLION DOLLAR budget YOU deserve better.

There are doubts about the quality of our water, safe or not, the fact remains that it is undrinkable because it tastes horrible. Many of our streets are terrible. A significant amount of our streetlights don’t work. Trash accumulates in unsightly ways. The budget increases, tax dollars are squandered, and services remain mostly flat. Two shootings and 4 homes tagged with graffiti in the northwest section this past summer. Economic Development remains absent. As I write this, I can not think of another long-term vacant commercial property that has been recommissioned since I recommissioned mine, and that was over 4 years ago. Lastly, yet another budget failure leaves us with no Christmas parade, and the list goes on.

There is absolutely no excuse for a budget to increase by FORTY PERCENT over 9 years while so little improvement is realized. This past fall I was 1 guy with a few weeks and pocket change for a budget creating huge momentum toward changing all of that. I highly recommend that policies change, and fast, because this coming fall isn’t going to be so subtle. It’s going to take a lot more than a generational family name to brace against the political pressure that’s coming.
