Beloved husband of Pat (nee Loftus) of 52 years. Devoted father of Joseph Jr. (Colleen), Colleen Gallagher (Thomas), and John (Theresa). Loving grandfather of Matt, Drew, Grace, Patrick, Riley, Reagan, Keira, and Jack. Dear brother of Patricia Phillips (the late Frank) and Colleen Robinson (Chris). Predeceased by his parents Walter and Mildred Piechowski. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Joe worked for the Camden County Sheriff's Department for 25 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Bellmawr Men's Club, and VFW # 7410. His grandkids were the light of his life and he loved going to their many sporting events. Joe enjoyed golfing and watching the Phillies and Notre Dame football. He was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School Class of 1965 and received his Bachelors from Fairmont State University in 1969.

He was a big fan of the Brooklawn Legion baseball and Gloucester  Catholic baseball teams

There will be a visitation Friday from 8:45am to 10:45am at St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation BVM Church, 601 W. Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ 08031. Funeral Mass 11am. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org).
