Tom O'Donnell, 86, of Gloucester City; Electronics Engineer, Member of KofC Council #674

Gloucester City. – Surrounded by his loving family, at home, Tom passed away peacefully on October 30, 2021, at the age of 88. Longtime resident of Gloucester City. Loving and devoted husband of 56 years to the late Kathleen T. O’Donnell (nee Screen Shot 2021-11-01 at 19.55.05 Delahunty). Loving father of Dr. Deborah Mulgrew (Joseph), the late Kevin B. O’Donnell (surviving Vicki), Kelly Duffy (John), Tricia Cunningham (the late Steve McNulty), Michael O’Donnell (Denise) and Thomas E. O’Donnell, Esq. (Ruth). Cherished grandfather of 16 and great grandfather of 11. Beloved brother of Lee O’Donnell (Peg) and brother-in-law of the late John and Margaret Jagielski. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Tom was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School class of 1951. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. Tom had a successful career as an electronics engineer working over 30 years for Telesciences in Moorestown. He was a faithful and devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Church and longtime member of Gloucester City Knights of Columbus #674. Tom volunteered many years for Gloucester City Little League and was a devoted fan of both Gloucester High School and Gloucester Catholic Sports.  Tom had a passion for gardening and was a diehard Phillies fan. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday morning, November 5th, from 8:30 to 11 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM in St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Interment with military honors will follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Mary’s Church, 420 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Please write in the memo: Thomas J. O’Donnell, Jr.
