(GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ)(October 21, 2021)--CNBNews received several calls early Wednesday evening about a large gathering of police officers in the area of the Gloucester High School, 1300 Market Street. The callers said there was a person who was threatening to kill himself. One source said the police locked down the high school and the nearby Cold Springs elementary complex.
Lt. Jason Flood, spokes man for the Gloucester City Police Department, was contacted for further information; Flood said, “Normally I would issue a media release, however regarding what happened last night I am prohibited from doing so due to HIPAA Laws."
Asked if the High School and the Cold Springs Elementary School complex was locked down for safety reasons, Flood said, "The athletic fields were cleared and the schools were placed on lockdown out of an abundance of caution. "
