Gloucester City – On October 23, 2021. Age 60. Loving husband of 38 years to Sherle Murphy (nee Bramble). Loving father of Adam Baker (Candice), Gerald R. Murphy, III and Brianna Murphy (Andrew). Cherished grandfather of Arianna, Brenden, Camryn, Rylie, Kyla and Lucas. Beloved brother of Michael Murphy (Marie), Debbie Mason and Joan Keith (late Frank). Predeceased by his parents, Gerald R. Murphy, Sr. and Anna Murphy; and his sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Mike Ribchinsky. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1979. He was an electrician for 38 years with I.B.E.W Local 98 in Philadelphia. Jerry was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 72 in Brooklawn. He was a dedicated president and district administrator for Little League District 14. Jerry enjoyed golfing and darts and was a fan of the Phillies, Sixers and Eagles.
Arrangements under the direction of the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday morning 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Interment will follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
