The Division of Fish and Wildlife will stock approximately 21,000 trout in the state's major trout waters. The fish are stocked from the Pequest Trout Hatchery starting October 12 through October 20.
All fall-stocked waters may be fished as soon as they are stocked. Waterbodies stocked will be posted in our Facebook and Instagram stories and on our websiteafter stocking is completed each day (the stocking schedule is not publicly available to prevent unsafe crowding at popular locations)
UPDATES
10/8/2021: Due to an ongoing hazardous algae bloom (HAB), Rosedale Lake will not be stocked with trout during the Division’s Fall Trout Stocking Season. Rosedale Lake may be stocked during the Division’s Winter Trout Stocking Program IF the HAB clears up prior to the Winter Trout Stocking Program.
