Rowan Men's Cross Country Finished 6 Out of 10 at Iona Meet of Champions

BRONX, N.Y. -- The Rowan Men's Cross Country Team headed up to the Bronx in New York to participate in the Iona College Meet of Champions held at VanCortlandt Park. As a team, the Profs finished sixth out of 10 teams.

Individually, Jeff Stewart earned top honors in a time of 27:16.2 to place 28th overall. Justin Kelly was 30th (27:17.7) while Brandon Diaz (27:44.3) was 38th, Dario Epifania (27:52.4) was 39th and Connor McBride (27:56.6) was 43rd. Kevin Lauer clocked in at 28:11.0 (49th) and Noah Cziryak timed out at 28:26.4 (53rd) respectively.

The 8k meet featured 117 competitors from 13 schools, with all but two from the Division I and Division II ranks. Lachlan Wellington of the host Iona College was the individual winner in a time of 25:18.7 while Temple was the team champion, placing five runners in the top 10 to finish with 23 points.

The squad now turns its attention to the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh on Friday, October 1st.
