Rowan Athletics to Assist Gloucester County Emergency Relief Efforts

GLASSBORO, NJ - In response to the recent destruction throughout Gloucester County brought on by the remnants of Hurricane Ida, Rowan Athletics will be donating all ticket sales from this weekend's home opening football and women's soccer contests to the Gloucester County Disaster Relief Fund by United Way of Gloucester County. Rowan Athletics recognizes the importance of community and is committed to helping those in need.

The United Way of Gloucester County is accepting donations to support the immediate and long term needs of the response and recovery efforts from the damage caused by the tornados and high wind from Wednesday evening's storm. The Rowan Football team opens the season at home tomorrow night at 6 p.m. against Widener. The event will include free fried Oreos and funnel cake to the first 1,000 fans, beer garden, and a post-game fireworks display. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $3 for children and senior citizens.


Rowan's women's soccer team opens up at home this weekend as hosts to the Profs Soccer Classic tournament. The first game between Rutgers-Camden and Adrian begins tomorrow at 2 p.m. followed by the Profs taking on Centenary at 4 p.m. Rowan will also host Adrian on Sunday, September 5.
