NORTHFIELD – The New Jersey Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) has endorsed former Deputy Attorney General Claire Swift for Assembly in the Second Legislative District.

Swift continued: “There is nothing more honorable than to serve your community and we must do better to return the respect the profession deserves. I could not be prouder of my family’s background in law enforcement. After arriving in the United States from Ireland, my grandfather became a Philadelphia Police officer and my brother currently serves as a Sergeant with the Margate Police Department.”

“Being an officer on the job has never been harder. It seems like every day there is a new regulation cooked up by out-of-touch politicians that paint our men and women in blue as criminals. I have seen first-hand how important it is to have a strong relationship between law enforcement and the communities they protect.

“Claire's endorsement by law enforcement professionals in this state had to be the easiest decision they  ever made. Herlawenforcementbackgroundandfocusonsupportforpublicsafety professionals and families across this region are just one more reason why I can't wait to serve with Claire Swift and Don Guardian in the state legislature,” Senator Vince Polistina said.
