Edward V Underwood, Sr Sep 30, 1930 – Sep 10, 2021

Age 90, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Gloucester City, NJ, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Marge) Underwood. Beloved father to Margaret (Peggy), Edward, Jr. and Michael. Ed (Pop) is also survived by his eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces & nephews. Ed was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for both, St. Mary’s parish in Gloucester, NJ and Mary Mother of Peace Church in Millsboro, DE, where he also served as an usher for 30 years.  Hardworking his entire life; he retired from Gulf & Western in Gloucester, NJ before moving on to Burrough’s Business Machines and later becoming the head custodian of St. Mary’s Grammar School. After moving to Delaware, he worked as a weight technician for the DE Department of Transportation, and finally as head groundskeeper for the Pilot Town Marina in Lewes, DE. Ed was also very active in his community of Captain’s Grant, where always made himself available to help a neighbor in need. Ed also enjoyed bowling, Philadelphia Sports Teams, and watching Old Western Shows and Movies. 

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Msgr. Edward B. Lucitt Needy Children’s Christmas Fund, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
