GLASSBORO, N.J. -- Rowan celebrated the duo of Natalie Ogden and Cassidy Abdalla as the Profs downed Neumann, 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-17) on Senior Night here at Esbjornson Gymnasium Tuesday evening.
Ogden led all attackers with a match-high 14 kills while Abdalla totaled five kills and a career-best six blocks as Rowan picked up their sixth win in a row.
As a unit, the Profs totaled 32 kills and had a total of 17 blocks. Abigail Webster served up four of the team's nine aces.
The Knights' Lauren Garvey registered seven kills with teammate Ariana Pena adding four kills, four digs, and five blocks (one solo).
After jumping out to a 5-1 lead in the first set, Rowan saw the Knights climb back to tie it at 7-7. Brooke Adams dialed up an ace to wrap up a 7-2 run to put the home team ahead and go on to take the 1-0 lead.
A six-point burst helped turn a one-point lead in the second set into an 18-11 score off an Ogden kill, one of six for her in the frame. She would strike again to fend off a late Neumann push to notch the 25-21 win in set #2.
Another six-point swing turned the tables for good early in the third, as the Profs went up 9-4 and would lead by as much as 22-10 before clamping down on their sixth-straight win.
Prior to the match, the team and coaching staff honored the tandem of Ogden and Abdalla along with their families in a special ceremony.
The Profs now turn their attention to a tri-match this Saturday at Penn State-Berks. Rowan takes on Lycoming before battling the host Lions, looking to extend their win streak.
