Dewey Dewechter – 67, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, after a prolonged illness at the Meadowview Nursing Home located in Northfield, New Jersey. Born in Camden, Dewey grew up in Brooklawn and attended Gloucester Catholic High School, where he graduated in 1971. A union electrician by trade, but a baseball aficionado at heart, he spent the large majority of his life between the Galloway Township area and the State of Florida, particularly Vero Beach and the Florida Keys.

He is survived by his children, Adam Dewechter and Cheryl (Dave) Mitchell; sisters, Maryann (Jim) Nolan, Nancy (John) Soubasis; brother, Jim Dewechter; grandchildren, Finley and Mariana Mitchell; former spouse, Mary Dewechter; and many other close friends and relatives.

Dewey is predeceased by his parents, Edmund Joseph Dewechter and Mary Therese Dewechter, also of Brooklawn NJ.
