Suddenly on July 15, 2021, of Sea Isle City, NJ, formerly of Collingswood, NJ.  Age 69 years.

Beloved husband of 30 years to Donna R. Knaup (nee Schlereth).  Dear father of Jillian (Scott) Hillman and Ryan Knaup.  Devoted Poppy of Mason, Kamrynn and William.  Loving brother of his twin sister, Karen (Roy) Cadwallader.  Special uncle of Leslie and Kristin. Craig will also be missed dearly by brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces, a multitude of friends and the entire Schlereth family.

Craig grew up in Audubon and graduated from Audubon High School in 1970. He received his bachelors and masters degrees from Rutgers University. After practicing in accounting, Craig attended Temple Law School and started his law practice, Knaup and Associates. Craig fell in love and married Donna, the love of his life. They raised the two most beautiful and devoted children, Jill and Ryan. Craig and Donna made their happy home in Collingswood. Craig was happiest when he was helping children. He gained so much joy through coaching recreation league sports and managing Ryan’s baseball team.  Craig was instrumental in founding the Collingswood Crew Team and was the President of the Collingswood School Board.

Craig’s love for the beach first started in Seaside Park. So many memories were created there with his family. Craig’s favorite job was being Poppy to Mason, Kami (Puff) and Will.  Craig and Donna settled in Sea Isle which was their happiest place. He loved nothing more than enjoying delicious food, a cold drink and cigar. As long as Craig was with his family and friends on the beach, his life was complete. He welcomed so many people into his home and offered everyone a place to lay their head at anytime. Craig will be forever in his family’s heart on the 49th street beach.
