PALM HARBOR, FL.--A Celebration of Life will be held in the Fall in New Jersey for Madelyn Dorris (nee Stiles), who passed away peacefully July 8, 2021, in Palm Harbor, Florida.
Madelyn was a long time Gloucester City resident before moving to Palm Harbor, Florida after retiring from Camden County in 1994.
Madelyn worked for the County of Camden for over 25 years. Her last position with the county was Executive Assistant to the Director of the Board of Commissioners. At the time of Madelyn’s retirement, the Director was Jeff Nash. Madelyn was honored to have had the opportunity to work with Jeff Nash for many years.
During her time as a Gloucester City resident, Madelyn sat on the Zoning Board and many other committees. She strived to help keep the city and county the best it could be for its residents.
Madelyn is survived by her children Bill Dorris (Diana), Beth Martello (Paul), and Krys Jordan-Meyer (Jamie). Also survived by grandchildren Will, Dan, Monica, Sarah, Cait, Sam and Joey and five great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughters Sue Blair and Sandy Dorris.
