John “Steve” Ritchie, age 74, Pennsauken Educator, Active Member of HP Church of God

Formerly of Gloucester City – On June 27, 2021. Age 74. Loving and devoted husband of 52 years to Gloria Ritchie (nee Henkel). Loving father of Lisa Ritchie (Walter Radlinger), Kimberly Ritchie and Laurie Coates (Zachary). Cherished Pop-Pop of Michael Ritchie, Brandon Kraft, Alexa Coates, Hayden Coates and Gabriella Ritchie and step-grandfather of Kevin, AJ and Jack Radlinger. Beloved brother of David Ritchie (Debbie) and brother-in-law of Brian Ferguson. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1965. He went on to earn his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Glassboro State College. Steve dedicated his 37-year career teaching and serving in administrative positions for Pennsauken High School. After retirement, he served as Interim Human Resources Director for Pemberton Twp. Schools. He was an active member of the Highland Park Church of God in Gloucester City, where he enjoyed teaching Adult Sunday School and serve on numerous boards and committees. Steve enjoyed hunting and playing golf.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday morning, July 2, 2021 from 9 to 10:45 AM at the Highland Park Church of God, 111 Baynes Ave, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 AM in the church. Interment will follow in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
