Walt Ashe, of Audubon Park, Meat Cutter, Custodian, Army Veteran, Memorial AA



Audubon Park, NJ. On May 31, 2021. Age 84. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Walter, Jr. and Margaret (Herrman) Ashe. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sally A. (Phillips) Ashe; children, Nicole Ashe (Phil), Walter P. Ashe, IV (Sue), Marylynne Andrews, Regina Durham; grandchildren, Aidan, Christina, Caitlyn, Sean, Sr., Taryn and his great-grandchildren, Tristan, Sean, Jr., Makaila; brother James Ashe (Patty) 7486637_fbsand his sister, Anna Dixon (Jack).

Walter proudly served his county in the U.S. Army and later worked as a meat cutter for 40 years with Super Fresh where he retired in 1998. He worked for the following 10 years as a custodian with Cold Springs School retiring in 2008. Walter loved being outdoors playing golf, swimming, or just working to keep his yard looking perfect. He was also a member of the Memorial AA Sports Club in Gloucester City.

Honoring Walters’ wishes, all services will be held privately.
