Rowan's Men and Women Swimming Teams and Diving Teams Honored

RICHMOND, VA – Rowan’s men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams have each earned Scholar All-America honors by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their student-athletes’ efforts in the classrooms this year.
The men’s team posted a GPA of 3.51 with 22 student-athletes while the women’s team maintained a 3.48 GPA with 11 student-athletes.
"Coaches Bowser and Blaschke did an exceptional job despite the absence of a Metropolitan Championship.," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Rowan and Athletic Director Giannini, President Houshmand, and Dr. JoAnne Bullard (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be proud of these 33 men and women."
In total, 721 programs from 426 institutions earned the honor. CSCAA will name its individual Scholar All-America team next week.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation’s first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
