Multi-Alarm Fire Damages Kristian Drive Home in Sicklerville

SICKLERVILLE, NJ-- Thursday, June 24, 2021 at approximately 8:15 pm, the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the area of Kristian Drive in the Sicklerville section of Gloucester Township for the report of a house fire. Arriving officers encountered heavy smoke and observed fire coming from the residence. As Gloucester Township Fire Departments were arriving, Officers ensured the residents and neighbors were evacuated.
 
Gloucester Township Fire Department Stations 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, Lindenwold, Pine Hill and Winslow Fire Departments arrived on location and extinguished the fire. Neighboring houses also suffered minor damage from the heat. Fortunately, no one was injured during the fire.
 
While this incident does not appear to be suspicious at this time, it is being investigated by the Gloucester Township Police and State Fire Marshal. This is a reminder to check your fire suppression systems and alert / audible alarm systems to ensure they are operational. Smoke alarms are a key part of any fire escape plan. When there is smoke, there is fire which can spread quickly. Working smoke alarms give you early warning, so you can get outside quickly.
