INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Rowan baseball team is headed to the NCAA Division III Regionals and has been named the top seed in the Marietta Ohio Region. The Profs will take on sixth-seeded Penn State-Behrend on Thursday, May 27 at 11 a.m. at Marietta College.
The eighth-ranked Profs (26-4) won the NJAC Championship and received the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, and will make the 27th appearance in school history, and the first since 2019.
Rowan is one of 42 conference champions to automatically qualify for the NCAA Tournament, while six teams earned at-large bids. Six teams will compete at eight regional sites in a double-elimination format, with the winners of the regionals qualifying for the Division III Championship series to be held at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Friday-Tuesday/Wednesday, June 4-8/9.
The remainder of teams in the regional, with their seedings are: (3) North Carolina Wesleyan; (4) St. John Fisher; and (5) Rochester.

Top-seeded Rowan swept second-seeded William Paterson, 12-4 and 8-3, to take the best-of-three series and win the 2021 NJAC Baseball Championship. It was the Profs' first title since 2018, and second under head coach Mike Dickson, while becoming the 17th conference championship in the program's history.
