Video: President Reagan, the Last Great President of the US

WASHINGTON POLITICS

WASHINGTON, DC--There was a time when both Republicans and Democrats actually got along. They had their differences of course. After all there is a big difference between a Conservative Republican and a Liberal Democrat. The Republican wants less government while the Democrat believes in more government; Spend and Tax is their motto.

Ronald Reagan, originally an American actor and politician, became the 40th President of the United States serving from 1981 to 1989. His term saw a restoration of prosperity at home, with the goal of achieving “peace through strength” abroad.

At the end of his two terms in office, Ronald Reagan viewed with satisfaction the achievements of his innovative program known as the Reagan Revolution, which aimed to reinvigorate the American people and reduce their reliance upon Government. He felt he had fulfilled his campaign pledge of 1980 to restore “the great, confident roar of American progress and growth and optimism.”

Not many people today know that President Reagan was a genuine funny guy with a fabulous sense of humor. He was a great orator who held an audience spellbound when he spoke. Those who knew him best could tell a story was coming when the saw the smirk on his face and the twinkle in his eyes. Watch the attached video you'll find a compilation of President Reagan's wonderful sense of humor. ~CNBNews
