Lions v Rams Thriller Ends in Overtime 65-62

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (February 27, 2021)(CNBNews)--This year's boys basketball  game between Gloucester Catholic  and Gloucester High was  played at Gloucester Catholic's gym. The 10 AM game, the first morning start in the series, was played without  fans because of the pandemic.

Catholic won the contest in overtime by a score of 65-62.  Rams Ryan Roney finished with a game high of 25, with eight of those points coming in overtime. 

This is the fourth year that the Rams have taken the series. 

Jason Morgan tied a career-high with five 3-pointers and 19 points to help Gloucester Catholic improve to 10-2 on the season. Gloucester fell to 8-4, according to NJ.com

.Aydan Hagan was just as hot for Gloucester. The sophomore guard, getting his first taste of the rivalry after transferring from Gateway, ended the second and third quarters with huge 3-pointers and finished with five on his way to a team-high 20 points.

Steven Light also had an outstanding game for Gloucester and helped set up several of Hagan’s 3s. He had 19 points and four assists, while Liam Gorman added all 10 of his points after halftime and had five assists.
