Joshua Mathew Meehan, of Gloucester City, Two Street Stompers NYB Member

Joshua Mathew Meehan

It is with great sadness that on February 6, 2021, Joshua Mathew Meehan, of Gloucester City, passed away at the age of 32 years. Joshua was the beloved son of Joe and Dawn Meehan, adoring husband of Emily Bender, and devoted father of Elias, Rumi, and Casey. He was the dearest brother of Kara (Don), Joey (Maddy), and Laura, and the most loving uncle to Ryleigh, Alissa, JJ and Miles. Josh was also a caring cousin to Bobbisue Sambucci (Greg) and Jessica Hagan (Vince), and is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Joshua was an avid reader and writer, musician, and lover of music. He was devoted to helping others and impacted many people through his selfless service in the recovery community. He was a long-standing member of the 12 Step fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous. Josh also enjoyed putting on his golden slippers and strutting with his Two Street Stompers NYB family. (Two Street fired up!)

His love for life was on full display in his smile. He showed compassion and empathy toward everyone and everything around him, and his kind heart could be felt everywhere he went.

We hope that every time you hear a guitar strumming, a poem being recited, or a song that speaks to your soul, think of Joshua and smile.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Gardiner Funeral Home, Runnemede.

Interment is private at the request of the family.
