Cherry Hill Resident Charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child

Camden City, N.J. – A Cherry Hill man has been charged after detectives learned he was soliciting sexually explicit images of underage girls, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill Mayer and Cherry Hill Police Chief William “Bud” Monaghan. Screen Shot 2021-02-22 at 17.17.16

Peter Tomasetti, 24, of Cherry Hill has been charged with one count of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Detectives from the High-Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU), Cherry Hill Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) – Cherry Hill Office went to Tomasetti’s home on the unit block of Whitman Ave. on Feb. 17 as part of an investigation.

During the search, detectives located a phone belonging to Tomasetti that contained multiple social media accounts soliciting sexual images of underage girls.

Tomasetti was taken to the Cherry Hill Police Department where he was processed and released under conditions pending further court proceedings.

All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
